Hope Revival Organization participated in a specialized workshop on localization and strengthening the role of local organizations in humanitarian work, alongside several organizations and actors from the humanitarian sector.
The discussions focused on the importance of redefining the role of local organizations so that their contribution goes beyond implementing field activities to becoming an essential part of planning processes, decision-making, and setting humanitarian response priorities. This approach recognizes their direct experience and deep understanding of the local context and community needs.
Rania Al-Sayed Youssef, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Hope Revival Organization, stated that the workshop addressed the importance of building more balanced and sustainable partnerships that strengthen the role of local actors and communities in designing and leading humanitarian programs, ensuring more effective, humane, and community-centered responses.
The sessions also highlighted the pivotal role of women and community leaders in advancing localization and building trust within communities, recognizing that genuine local participation is a fundamental pillar for achieving recovery and sustainability.
Hope Revival Organization reaffirms its commitment to continuing collaboration with various partners to strengthen and support humanitarian response models that place people, their dignity, and their full needs — including psychological and social well-being — at the heart of humanitarian action.
