A.H.A was a simple farmer, starting his day early in his fields, where he had always found his livelihood and peace of mind. But a single moment changed everything when his foot stepped on a snake without noticing. It did not bite him, yet the intense fear left a deep psychological impact.

The farmer began experiencing anxiety while working in his fields, which intensified over time. He also developed unexplained physiological symptoms, such as dizziness, temporary loss of consciousness, painful spasms in his arms and legs, and a strange feeling of nausea, turning his days into a struggle with these symptoms that drained his strength and self-confidence.

A.H.A turned to the Mental Health Clinic of Hope Revival Organization at Al-Hamama Center seeking help for his condition. He was welcomed by our team, who conducted a comprehensive assessment, and then referred him to a specialized physician within the Mental Health Gap Program.

The physician carefully diagnosed his condition and developed a treatment plan tailored to restore his health, return him to work, and improve his daily life. The plan was not limited to medication; it was a comprehensive recovery journey, which included:

Psychosocial support sessions to help him cope and regain resilience.

Psychological strategies to manage symptoms during episodes.

Relaxation and breathing exercises to calm his body and reduce anxiety.

Simple physical activities to restore vitality.

Reconnecting with social relationships that had been lost.

Building self-confidence and practicing facing troubling thoughts instead of avoiding them.

Over time, and by adhering to the treatment plan, the episodes gradually decreased. A.H.A began to feel stronger than his fear, and today he has returned to his fields with a spirit full of hope and greater peace of mind, realizing that this experience did not defeat him but rather made him more resilient, with a firm belief that hope always exists
