With HRO’s participation, the 2nd International Scientific Conference activities commence at Aleppo University.

HRO participated in the 2nd International Scientific Conference, “People with Disabilities (PwDs) in Wars”, which launched on 24th September 2024. The event was held under the theme “Strategies for Advancement, Inclusion, and Empowerment in Light of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.”
This conference was organized by Aleppo University in NW Syria, Midad organization (Education Without Borders), the Research for Health System Strengthening in Syria (R4HSSS), in addition to broad participation by members from CSOs. The conference aimed to shed light on the challenges faced by PwDs in conflicts.
During the conference, HRO provided a presentation about its projects, services, role in advocating for people with disabilities, and a detailed overview of activities specifically designed and tailored for PwDs.
The conference emphasized the need for enhancing cooperation between institutions, universities, and organizations to advocate for PwD’s rights and to provide them with the best services in the most accessible ways
