Hope Revival Organization (HRO) is a humanitarian, advocacy, non-profit organization dedicated to working with communities in order to overcome experiencing difficulty coping. HRO main priorities are aimed at improving access and availability of evidence-based, high quality and culturally sensitive mental health services and psychosocial support for populations affected by conflict and crisis in order to build sustainable local capacities and provide comprehensive, integrated and community based mental health services and psychosocial support activities that promote the resilience and overall wellbeing of vulnerable refugees, internally displaced people and host populations.
We work on involving women, youth, and people with disabilities in economic, social, and civil activities in order to limit marginalization, violence and empower them by raising awareness for their rights. 
HRO focuses on community care by creating safe environments through increasing the quality of life, mitigating violence, opposing marginalization, and striving to eliminate poverty.

Job Details:The Protection Programme Coordinator is responsible for overall protection leadership, coordination, and technical support to maintain and expand Protection programming including GBV, CP, and General Protection.
Generic Duties:1. To contribute to the definition of the HRO protection strategy.
2. Responsible for the appropriateness and quality of protection interventions.
3. Along with the Programme Manager. Represent HRO and guarantee constant presence and active participation to the protection coordination for a (clusters meetings, other technical coordination meetings) and keep regular contact with other counterparts.
4. Build the capacity, coordinate, and supervise the protection team.
5. Prepare the initial Draft of Protection Proposals and budgets and share them with the line manager for final review.
6. Provide technical guidelines and support to PO’s.
7. Provide technical supervision for field staff.
8. Provide Admin/operational support to PO.
9. Share with the Programme Manager a weekly workplan and a weekly report about the progress and plans of protection projects and teams.
 Specific Duties:(Any additional task strictly related to the role and necessary for the implementation of the activities.)
Key Responsibilities:To contribute to the definition of the HRO protection strategy
1. Provide analysis of the protection situation of the country.
2. Provide support to the development of potential assessments in new thematic and/or geographical areas, in order to expand the protection portfolio.
3. Lead the definition of the protection programming strategy for HRO.
4. Support the design of potential funding opportunities for Protection programming.
5. Share an Introduction Document, Protection Portfolio, and any Presentation requested by the Programme Manager with updates information, statistics on locations, staff, services provided, beneficiaries reached, etc. As requested by the Programme Manager and within the timeline identified.
6. Review the Protection related media products including posts on social media, content in the monthly newsletter, etc.

1. Responsible for the appropriateness and quality of protection interventions
1. Provide clear support and supervision and mentoring of the Protection team through regular field visits, meetings with the staff and the line manager.
2. Ensure that the services provided in the different protection projects adhere to best practices and global standards.
3. Supervise the technical protection staff of the projects.
4. Support the integration of the Protection Programming with the other sectors, including Health, MHPSS, Livelihood, Education, Basic Assistance.
2. Along with the Programme Manager. Guarantee constant presence and active participation in the protection coordination fora (clusters meetings, other technical coordination meetings) and keep regular contact with other counterparts.
1. Along with the Programme Manager. Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant donors, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas.
2. Along with the Programme Manager. Proactively engage with donors meetings, international NGOs, and other actors participating at sectorial coordination meetings.
3. Along with the Programme Manager. Maintain productive working relationships with Protection, GBV, and CP Working Groups at the national and field level.
4. Along with the Programme Manager. Ensure the participation of HRO to relevant Working Groups and Task Forces (responsibilities can be delegated)
5. Brief all protection staff on discussions held during working groups and share and explain the documents displaced in those meetings.
6. Participate the internal Review meetings of protection projects on a monthly basis.
7. Along with the Programme Manager. Develop strategic partnerships with local organizations, wherever possible.
3. Coordinate, supervise and build the capacity of protection team.
1. In collaboration with Programme Manager, support the recruitment of protection staff in Turkey. And in collaboration with HR and Project Managers, support the recruitment of field protection staff in Syria.
2. In coordination with the Programme Manager, identify the training needs of protection staff in Turkey and Syria based on capacity assessment survey, and conduct the needed training sessions.
3. Take part in the Performance evaluation of the protection Project officers, Senior officers in Turkey, and technical protection staff in Syria including GBV & CP Case Managers, and case workers, Field Technical Supervisor, legal adviser, in collaboration with the Programme Manager.
4. Ensuring project activities are implemented to a high quality based upon related standards (e.g. Sphere, GBVIE Minimum Standards, Child Protection Minimum Standards CPMS, International Mine Action Standards IMAS Core Humanitarian Standards, …etc) and report on the strengths and weaknesses to the programme manager on a monthly basis.
5. Supervision, coaching, mentoring, training, and development of protection project staff. Coordinate closely with the program manager on the project implementation progress. 
4. Prepare the initial drafts of protection proposals and budgets.
1. Monitor the arising needs in the country and the funding opportunities and share it with the Programme Manager.
2. Under the programme manager, contributes to the project design (assessment, partnership, writing, budget…) and is the referent for the technical components.
3. Review the regular narrative reports of protection projects and ensure the quality implementation, the innovative approaches, lesson learned, best practices, success stories, and the sound management of risks and challenges.
5. Provide technical guidelines and support to PO’s.
1. Provide direction to staff in the implementation of the work planning, targets, challenges, relative to the Protection component
2. Support the Project Staff in the planning and the monitoring of the achievement of the activities, deliverables. Work with the Programme Manager on corrective measures and improvement.
3. With the support of the Project Officers, provide feedback on the monthly monitoring tool (Protection Assessment Tool).
4. Ensure proper project documentation and compilation of project data.
6. Implementation oversight and support:
1. Solicit client’s feedback on program implementation on a monthly basis in order to ensure our programs are client-focused and survivor-centered (and report it to the line manager).
2. In coordination with Programme Manager. Conduct regular case review meetings, case audits, and more in-depth analysis of outcomes for specific cases such as sexual abuse, and/or cases of trafficking and exploitation. Identify specific targeted action required following analysis to improve outcomes. Provide close supervision and support to caseworkers and field technical supervisors.
3. Lead and conduct assessments to identify gaps and needs of clients, as well as practices that negatively impact the most vulnerable groups and report it to the line manager.
4. Drive the development of specific technical components of protection program to improve both qualities of services, produce learning products, and increase the visibility of specific components.
7. Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a similar level as needed.
8. Provide Admin/operational support to PO.
9. HQ programme staff’s recruitment and appraisal. In close engagement with the Programme Manager, to participate in the recruitment and appraisal of the Projects Senior Offices, Officers, Assistants, and Volunteers. 
Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Preferred Bachelors or master’s degree in a related field (Law/ Psychology/ Social Studies or Business Administration etc.), humanitarian studies, or International Development. Significant relevant work experience in these specific areas will be considered as an added value.
General Work Experience: • Minimum 3 years of experience as Protection Project Manager/ Coordinator with a solid understanding of GBV, Child Protection, and General Protection Sector, Mental Health Psychosocial Support.
• Has the flexibility to deal rapidly with numerous and often simultaneous problems in an effective manner.
• A patient and a good communicator who can function in an organization employing a multi-national staff, and whose sites are geographically distributed in areas of the country difficult to access during certain periods of the year. Remote management experience is desired.
